Jeffrey Bruma has today (Thursday June 30) signed on loan with Hamburg on a one-year loan deal. The Dutch defender, who recently made the step up from the Under 21 to the full international squad, will spend next season at the Imtech Arena, with the option of another year afterwards. The 19-year-old spent three months on loan at Leicester City last season, scoring two long-range goals against Watford in his 11 appearances.
Prior to that Bruma had made his first team debut for Chelsea in late 2009 and has gone on to make nine appearances so far. He remains contracted to Chelsea until 2014, and will link up with former Chelsea team-mates Michael Mancienne, Jacopo Sala and Gokhan Tore, who all recently signed permanent deals with the German club.[
