Andre Villas-Boas is confident Chelsea will recover from their dramatic loss to Arsenal - much in the way the Gunners have in recent weeks.
The north Londoners have won eight of their last nine all competitions following a dreadful start to the season in which Arsene Wenger's managerial capabilities were called into question.
There were no such suggestions at the weekend as Wenger's side ran out 5-3 winners at Stamford Bridge, and Villas-Boas is now looking to the example of his experienced counterpart for inspiration.
"Arsenal have made a very good recovery, they are the exact example we are speaking about," said the Chelsea boss."Arsenal were considered dead at the beginning and they were calling for Wenger's head, or the media were."
Villas-Boas has also defended his attacking philosophy, with some reports claiming these naive tactics attributed to the loss against Arsenal. And, although he insists Chelsea will continue to play his way, the 34-year-old realises he is not get everything right at this moment in time.
"For the fans, it is a good spectacle, for the neutral supporter,” he added.“For the supporter of that team, you want to play beautiful football and you want to win. So we need to get the two together.
"Everyone is praising a strong, attacking team like Man City and we are exactly the same. We just have to make the most of our opportunities and try to score them."It's the route that we are taking and we want to do the things properly. The players have talent and they enjoy it. So we will try to get things right.”
